Laos is a lovely place with lovely people but unfortunately, all I can remember is the transport. Sitting on the back of trucks, crammed into tiny vans stuffed with passengers, standing on overcrowded buses, almost crashing on a mountain pass – nothing was easy. Still, the food was ace and everyone was really nice so I’d probably go back. And Luang Prabang was superb.
